Structure of the Association

The Hartley TS16 Association of Australia administers membership records, insurance and class rules. It collects all membership fees and distributes the majority of it to the State Associations [currently that of NSW, Victoria and South Australia] on a pro rata basis.  

Each member of the Australian Association is also a members of their State Association.

Each State Association is autonomous and manages its own finances, events and takes a turn in organising the Australian Championship. They also organise their own State Championships. 

Membership of the Hartley TS16 Association of Australia is useful to anyone interested in sailing and one of the cheapest and oldest sailing one class designs in Australia. The Association has been alive since 1964 when the first Hartley TS 16 Trailer Sailer was built in 1963.
